Wedding Faq

Q: WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
A: I’m in the Poconos of Pennsylvania, but I shoot all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Upstate NY.

Q: DO YOU HAVE ANOTHER JOB BESIDES PHOTOGRAPHY?
A: Nope! This is my career, and I am blessed to be a full-time photographer since 2010.

Q: HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
A: Currently (2023) you will receive your high-resolution digital images with printing rights in the form of a custom USB drive keepsake. I also provide all your photos via private password-protected online gallery for easy downloading and sharing.

Q: WHAT PACKAGES DO YOU OFFER?
A: I offer two standard Wedding Packages for simplicity. I have a 4-Hour (Partial Day) Package, as well as an 8-Hour (Full Day) Package. I do offer a special Elopement Package (2-hours) which is perfect for elopements, and private or courthouse ceremonies.

Q: WHAT’S INCLUDED WITH EACH PACKAGE?
A: My Partial Day Package includes 4-hours of photography coverage, and your high resolution images with print release. My Full Day Wedding Package includes 8-Hours of photography coverage, high resolution images with print release, complimentary Engagement Session, and a custom designed Photo Book with wedding images.

Q: DO YOU USE A SECOND SHOOTER?
A: I prefer to work as a single/solo shooter. However, depending on the wedding, I may bring an assistant/second shooter with me to help if needed, mainly for the Ceremony and parts of the reception. If you were interested in hiring a second shooter for the entire day, that would be an add-on to my standard packages.

Q: HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU DO IN A YEAR?
A: Typically, I shoot up to 30 (full-day) weddings a year.

Q: DO YOU DO MULTIPLE WEDDINGS IN DAY?
A: Never. Your wedding day is reserved solely for you.

Q: DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?
A: I primarily shoot in PA, but am willing to travel within 90 minutes of my home (which may include NJ or NY). All of my packages include 40 miles of round-trip travel from my home, and additional miles have a small travel fee of $.50 per mile.

Q: CAN WE SCHEDULE A CALL TO DISCUSS MY WEDDING?
A: Yes! We can do a phone Consultation to discuss your wedding, get to know each other, and go over all of my packages/information. I can also do in-person meetings upon request.

Q: DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
A: Yes. A 25% (non-refundable) deposit to is required to book and secure your date, and the remaining 75% is due no later than one month prior to your wedding, and you can make payments leading up to one month prior if you’d like.

Q: WHAT TYPE(S) OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?
A: Cash, Check, or PayPal.

Q: WHAT IF SOMEONE ELSE IS INTERESTED IN MY DATE?
A: I book on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the nature of the business, I cannot hold pending dates. I recommend booking your date as soon as you’re able to secure it.

Q: HOW LONG UNTIL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS AFTER THE WEDDING?
A: I provide sneak peeks the following week, and my turn-around time is typically 10 weeks post wedding for the full gallery, often sooner. It just depends on the season.

Q: WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE MY WEDDING DATE?
A: Please contact me as soon as possible if you have to cancel or reschedule your wedding date, I completely understand that things happen. Keep in mind all deposits are non-refundable.

Q: HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I RECEIVE?
A: You can expect 500+ from a Full-Day Wedding, often more. I include all images that are up to my artistic standards. I also include black and white duplicates from your day.

Q: HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY WEDDING?
A: I’m typically booked out at least a year in advance, so it’s never too early to book your wedding date. Popular times of year are booked sometimes 2 years out. I sometimes have dates open up last-minute, so just send me a message.

Q: WHAT’S A “PRINT RELEASE”?
A: A print release gives you permission to print your images at a lab of your choice, and I currently don’t have any quantity or size restrictions. Jill Katherine Photography still owns the Copyright to all images.

Q: CAN I PURCHASE PRINTS OR ALBUMS THROUGH YOU?
A: Yes! I do offer affordable professional quality prints from your session, and offer prints al-la-carte as well as multiple print packages. I also offer custom designed wedding albums.

Q: WILL I RECEIVE ALL THE PHOTOS YOU TOOK?
A: After your wedding, I cull all the images and discard any that are not up to my artistic standards. Mainly duplicates, or anything non-useable (blinking, etc.). I do not offer unedited or “raw” images.

Q: WHEN CAN I BOOK MY ENGAGEMENT SESSION?
A: We can do your Engagement Session any time leading up to your wedding once your wedding date is officially booked and reserved.

Q: WHAT DOES THE ENGAGEMENT SESSION ENTAIL/INCLUDE?
A: You will receive a one-hour on-location session, and you will receive your high-resolution images and print release. For more information on my Portrait Sessions check out my PORTRAIT FAQ.

Q: DO YOU EDIT/PHOTOSHOP THE PHOTOS?
A: I have a standard workflow that I’ve crafted over the years to meet my artistic standards, and I prefer to keep my images as natural as possible.

Q: HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER?
A: I started my business in 2010. I jumped in and never looked back! I’ve wanted to be a photographer for as long as I can remember, and I’m so happy that I get to live out my dream!
